JUNETEENTH FREEDOM SHRED

Presented by Spencer J. Conley
HONORING 160 YEARS FREEDOM AND CELEBRATION OF THIS AMERICAN HOLIDAY!

Timberline is hosting Coach Spencer Conley and friends to celebrate and honor Juneteenth on Mt. Hood on Wednesday, June 19, 2025. All are invited to join the Juneteenth Freedom Shred, featuring a group shred down Palmer, a Juneteenth flag raising ceremony, and a whole lot of fun.

Thursday, June 19th, JUNETEENTH
10:19am Group Shred from the top of Palmer (recommended for advanced skiers and snowboarders only)
12:30pm Send it Summer Park Jam in the Mile Public Park

Juneteenth honors the heroic pursuit for freedom for all Americans. On June 19, 1865, Major General Gordon Granger, along with 2,000 Union soldiers, arrived in Galveston, TX, to deliver the news to the last 250,000 enslaved African Americans that they were free. This news came two and a half years after President Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. On June 17th, 2021, President Joe Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act into law establishing Juneteenth as a federal holiday, to be celebrated and honored by all Americans as part of our history.

Like the dessert, Snowboy Productions is once again bringing together a unification of BIPOC voices of professional snowboarders, industry leaders, terrain park builders, filmers, photographers, and youth outreach organizations to share time, space and conversations while building, riding, and documenting a one of a kind snowboard park on the sunny slopes of Mt Hood.

Friday and Saturday is a private setting with invited riders and media building mountains of real-time coverage across social media channels before erupting with Sunday public activation (new this year!) to allow even more participation to THE snowboard event of the summer.

TIMBERLINE DAYDREAM

A celebration of music, brews, and bikes benefitting OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Presented by Columbia and Sorel.

SAVE THE DATE! Sunday, August 31, 2025

A Daydream is a series of pleasant thoughts, distracting one’s attention from the present. From time to time, we all need a break, a rest or a Daydream. Doernbecher and Timberline have teamed up to bring you an inspiring, supportive, hope filled distraction, a day-of-days on Mt. Hood. This year marks the third Timberline Daydream. To date, nearly $350,000 has been raised via Daydream for OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital.

Timberline Daydream starts in the morning with an enduro bike race in the Timberline Mountain Bike Park. The music festival kicks off at noon in the amphitheater with four bands playing the crows and 360 degree views. Mt. Hood Brewing Co. craft brews are served up in the amphitheater and on the lodge's back patio, alongside food prepared by Timberline's culinary team.

Daydream is free to attend with a suggested donation of $20 per person. Guests can also participate in Doernbecher's silent auction.

Stay tuned for more details to come. Bands will be announced on May 1st!
