Timberline's Summit Pass (formerly known as Summit Ski Area) is officially part of the Timberline ski area, increasing Timberline's vertical terrain to 4,540 feet, the longest in the United States.

The start of the 4,540' vertical has moved to West Palmer. It will now ski and ride more like a run with some turns and terrain change from West Palmer to Coffels Run, down Kruser and/or terrain parks to the Alpine Trail.
Enjoy! It's not a race. There are many different experiences down the 4,540". Above tree line, take in the wide-open views of the Mt. Hood summit and Cascades to the south while skiing down the unique Palmer snowfield snow. At mid-mountain tree line, enter the alpine forest with Kruser's wide runs or Spraypaint and Paintbrush terrain parks. The Alpine Trail is quiet and sheltered with old growth timber. Finish the 4,540' at Timberline's Summit Pass and reward yourself with a beer and a burger.
