Silcox Hut

An Elevated Getaway

Transportation to the hut is provided via snowcat or SUV, snow-pack dependent. Check-in time for Silcox is 4:00 p.m. and checkout is 10:00 a.m. Upon arrival, luggage is stored at the main lodge and then transported with the group. One round-trip per group per night is included in the package price. Additional trips can be arranged for a fee.

Your host serves buffet-style meals at one long table. Dinner might be lasagna, salad, vegetables, rolls, fruit, soft drinks, and dessert. Breakfast features waffles, fruit, muffins, pastries, and coffee/tea. Alternatives and additions, like alcoholic beverages, are available for a fee.

Built in 1939 from local stone and timber, Silcox Hut blends rustic charm with modern comforts—running water, heat, and indoor plumbing. Guests gather in one large room with a fireplace, kitchen/bar, and communal table for shared mountain meals.

Silcox’s lower floor has six curtained bunk rooms—five with four single beds each and one with a queen bunk. Midlevel, you’ll find three restrooms, including one with a shower, for comfort after your mountain adventures.

Silcox Hut amenities include bedding, bathroom toiletries, towels, Wi-Fi, and a Bluetooth stereo. Guests are also welcome to enjoy Timberline Lodge’s facilities before or after their Silcox overnight, including the pool, sauna, spa, and showers, for a full mountain retreat experience.

Your Silcox Hut host is your personal mountain concierge—welcoming and transporting your group, preparing and serving dinner and breakfast, tending the fire, and ensuring every detail is handled so you can relax, connect, and enjoy your alpine escape.
