The Pacific Crest Trail spans 2,650 miles from the Mexican border to Canada. Timberline Lodge intersects the PCT and makes for a welcome oasis and resupply station for thousands of PCT hikers all summer long. The Longest Season

Timberline’s winter season kicks off as early as mid-November and continues through the end of May. Thanks to our high-elevation advantage, we’re always the first ski area to open on Mt. Hood—and the last to call it quits. More days, more snow, more turns.

During our winter season, guests with a season pass or lift ticket can catch a ride on the Palmer Snowcat to 8,540 feet on Mt. Hood. To experience the entire 4,540' vertical, ski or snowboard all the way down to Summit Pass.
